Severe Acute Respiratory Coronavirus-2: A Critical Review of Virus Biology, Genome and Pathophysiology

چکیده

Severe Acute Respiratory Coronavirus-2 [SARS-CoV-2] emerged as a great threat to the world at end of December 2019 in China. The SARS-CoV-2 evolved from virus responsible for SARS epidemic 2002. has high rate human-human transmission and originated bat. It close resemblance with bat-like-SARS-CoV compared SARS-CoV; however, Spike protein virus-host cell interaction possesses least similarity that SARS-CoV. Cytokine Storm is associated severity Covid-19 leads acute respiratory distress syndrome [ARDS] and/or multiple organ dysfunction syndromes [MODS]. In current review article, features novel coronavirus, including viral biology, genomic organisation, life cycle, pathophysiology genetic diversity, have been discussed. development policies plans which can prepare future pandemics also proposed. addition, drug pipelines, diagnostic facilities management such need an up-gradation contain well outbreaks.

Genome-wide computational prediction of miRNAs in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) revealed target genes involved in pulmonary vasculature and antiviral innate immunity

The current outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)in China threatened humankind worldwide. The coronaviruses contains the largest RNA genome among all other known RNA viruses, therefore the disease etiology can be understood by analyzing the genome sequence of SARS-CoV-2. In this study, we used an ab-intio based computational tool VMir to scan the complete geno...

Identification of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Genome in the Stool of a Child with Acute Gastroenteritis

Case Report: Some viruses have been reported to cause respiratory and gastroenteric infections simultaneously. In this case we present isolation of human respiratory virus (RSV) type B from diarrheal sample of a 12 months' child with acute gastroenteritis. Results: The results indicated the presence of RSV subtype B genome in all three stool samples. Moreover, no sign of co-infections with oth...

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome–associated Coronavirus Infection

Whether severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) infection can be asymptomatic is unclear. We examined the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV among 674 healthcare workers from a hospital in which a SARS outbreak had occurred. A total of 353 (52%) experienced mild self-limiting illnesses, and 321 (48%) were asymptomatic throughout the course of these observations. None of thes...

Coronavirus in severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

In November 2002, an outbreak of a life-threatening ‘atypical pneumonia’ for which no etiological agent could be identified occurred in Guangdong Province, China. In March 2003, a similar outbreak was reported in Hong Kong [1]. Cases of similar respiratory illness were subsequently reported globally including China, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Canada and USA. This syndrome is a new clinical ent...

Coronavirus as a possible cause of severe acute respiratory syndrome.

BACKGROUND An outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) has been reported in Hong Kong. We investigated the viral cause and clinical presentation among 50 patients. METHODS We analysed case notes and microbiological findings for 50 patients with SARS, representing more than five separate epidemiologically linked transmission clusters. We defined the clinical presentation and risk f...
